How I Spend My Days: New baby takes all of my time. My husband, Mark, works full time at Applied Materials.
Hobbies and Interests: Walking, emailing friends, reading How to Calm a Crying Baby books, backpacking Yosemite.
Last 20 Years in a Nutshell: I have had quite a variety of jobs and moved several times after college (UMD 1988). Some former jobs; Park Ranger at the Apostle Islands, Boy Scout Ecology Dir., Staffer at State Senate in St. Paul, waitress at Glacier Natl. Park in Montana. Went back to UMD in 1994 and got my Masters of Industrial Safety Degree. I have been working for the past 9 years as a Safety Engineer (Philips Semiconductors, & Applied Materials) and most recently as a Risk Analyst (Cisco) in Silicon Valley. Met my husband at work and we were married in June of 2003. Currently, I am taking time off to spend time with our new baby.
High School Memories: Band, Jazz Band, freezing football games, playing with the jazz band at other high school proms. The Wall in the Band Room, having to play scales in front of the entire band & Mr. Stellmaker, arguing with Mrs. Slocumb about poetry, Mr. Aunan and on and on, Mr. Axt’s clogs. Doing homework and gossiping in the study areas with Kari Mattson, Daneen, Cheryl Williams, Rene. Sneaking into the Cove.
