Status: Married to Dawn for 17 years.
Kids: Jared -15, Taylor -13, Sari -11, Resa -9, Micah -7 and Cami -5yrs old.
Where I'm Living: Lakeland, MN (east of St. Paul on MN/WI border).
How I Spend My Days: I run a small delivery business so I'm driving 5 days a week (wouldn't want to work weekends, you know). Started my own Flatbed truck service within Roadrunner/Dynamex Courier and I also own a truck/route that delivers under contract with 3M in St. Paul. Always trying to find ways of spending more time at home and less time working while making more money---not an easy task but we're doing it so far.
Hobbies and Interests: We do lots of family activities together and are currently preparing to add a second story to our "never quite big enough" home, hopefully to increase living space to 4500+ sq ft (believe it or not, that'll be just about right for eight people). We have a motorhome we vacation in whenever possible and we camp in it every summer. I try to play basketball when I can but it hasn't been much this past year. I have taken up directing our church kids choir and musical every year for 2nd thru 6th graders.
Last 20 Years in a Nutshell: After graduation I attended Northwestern Bible College in Roseville, MN and met my wife there in 1986. We were married in 1987, ended up moving to Montana in 1991 where I worked as a Legal Assistant for almost 6 years, then moved back to Twin Cities in 1997. I've been self-employed since then and don't think I could ever go back to the "rat race" now, even though law was a pretty fascinating line of work. My wife homeschools all six children (with occasional help from me) which is more work than anyone can imagine, and it's the reason everyone tells me she must be a saint. My dad (choir teacher to many of you) passed away suddenly in December 2002 at 72 yrs old leaving a legacy of choirs, small groups, musicals, mens Doctors choruses, church choirs and the Duluth Boys Chorus. He's greatly missed.
High School Memories: Running out of gas in my Volvo on the way to Little
Mob performances, my dad showing up 20 minutes before Pop Concert started
when the choir had to be there an hour before, The Mikado musical, Xavier
and Clint ripping on each other during choir, horrible jokes a certain choir
teacher used to tell, Grant Brown and his Vuarnet sunglasses, lots and lots
of basketball games (didn't the girls BB team win one game by like 70 pts?),
going to state, and always being broke.
