How I Spend My Days: I am a stay at home Mom for the last 5 1/2 years and love it!! I bring my little boy to school and then I go to the gym almost everyday to work out while my daughter plays in the kids club. It relieves the stress…..and things can get stressful!! Traffic is a nightmare that you get used to around here. I am involved with playgroups & fun activities through a Moms club that has kept me in contact with other adults and kids that are my children’s ages. It has been a really great experience which I am thankful for. I visit my father often because he lives only 7 miles from me. The kids enjoy spending time with him and are able to spend the night a few times a month. This gives me some time with my husband, Miro. Miro works for the gun manufacturer, Glock, as a Network administrator. We spend lots of time at the parks which are numerous in this area. We are thinking about moving within the next year about 15 miles north of our current residence.
Hobbies and Interests: Scrapbooking & reading as time allows, mystery shopping, fitness, online surveys & focus groups, photography, travel ( Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Bahamas, Cozumel & Costa Maya Mexico, Montreal),swimming with the kids
Last 20 Years in a Nutshell: After H.S. school I worked at Chi Chi’s at Fitgers for several years. I attended a year at UMD and partied. I lived with my mother at this time. In 1988 I moved to an apartment in Plattsburgh, N.Y. and went to college at Plattsburgh State and graduated with a BS in Food & Nutrition w/ minor in Chemistry. I worked at a deli while going to school. I bartended for a couple years at a place called the Red Lion too. I think I partied way too much !!!…..I guess the party lasted 10 years!!! Ha ha ha. I moved to Atlanta December of 1993 and moved into an apartment with my sister, Kim. My father and his wife also moved down about a month before me. Luckily, I was able to move all of my stuff in their moving van, the Federal government payed for it!! My father worked for the FBI in the bank robbery division. I met my husband,Miro, at the restaurant I was working at. After 6 weeks we were married(1995) and traveled to Croatia to meet his family. I worked as an office manager at Haverty’s Furniture until I gave birth to my son. We had our son in 1998 and our daughter in 2002. We have lived in the same general area for 9 years. I have traveled numerous times to Duluth as my mother lives on a lake in Cotton, Mn and my sister, Kim Comstock lives near the mall.
High School Memories: I remember having a great time at Central. I was only there for 2 years but felt very welcomed. I was pretty shy back then but I think I made friends easily. I enjoyed hanging out with Chris Robinson, Rob, Hag,& Bill. I must be old because my memory is lacking……but I remember parties at Park Point, Robs house ( his dad was cool) at Park point, keg parties—we had a fun one at our house. Sneaking out and going to soup town, did we really do that??. I’ll never forget having a car full of people on the bridge coming back and doing a 360 on the bridge. God must have been with us that night because we didn’t hit the guard rails. I remember liking Algebra and science classes!! I wish I could return because I think I may have done a few things differently but I guess we all learn by doing!!!
